RELIVE OUR EPIC 2024 OPENING PARTY

ANTS returned to Ibiza with a marathon day-into-night Opening Party that spanned our home of Ushuaïa Ibiza and the #1 Club in the World, Hï Ibiza.

The Colony was out in force with thousands of you making the pilgrimage to the White Isle to usher in the next era of ANTS with a revitalised soundtrack, spectacular new audio-visual show and an enviable roster of the most exciting established and rising stars from the worlds of house, techno and beyond.

Kicking off at the birthplace of ANTS, where an enormous volcano towered over the dancefloor. Local hero Raul Rodriguez got the Colony moving, before handing over to the Californian house sounds of HoneyLuv, whose selections perfectly matched the vibe of Ushuaïa Ibiza’s sun-drenched dancefloor.

ANTS favourite Chelina Manuhutu stepped up next, and her mix of groove-focused rollers and dancefloor anthems took the audience on a journey into the early evening. Next, Spanish star Wade made his return to ANTS, after an impressive performance last summer. His hip-hop-influenced house and tech selections brought the tempo up.

It was a special moment when Andrea Oliva and Nic Fanciulli, two artists synonymous with ANTS, took to the stage for a blistering B2B just as the sun began to set. The night air vibrated with the freshest underground electronics, along with some joyous ANTS classics that had hands in the air and hearts full.

Finally, Berlin techno powerhouse Paul Kalkbrenner wrapped up the Ushuaïa Ibiza chapter of the day with a high-octane live show, full of cinematic synths and fist-pumping kicks. As the final beats of Kalkbrenner’s incredible performance faded into the night, it was time for the second chapter, across the street at the World’s #1 Club.

The state-of-the-art screens of Hï Ibiza’s colossal Theatre were swarming with ANTS as Spanish selector Tini Gessler kicked off proceedings before handing over to “Drugs from Amsterdam” producer, Mau P, who showcased his underground roots with an exhilarating set.

Next up, one of the UK’s favourite producers, Franky Wah, delivered a dancefloor-focused performance showcasing all styles of house music. Ukrainian duo ARTBAT ended the night on a high as their stadium-sized house and techno had the whole room dancing as one, with hands in the air.

Over in Hï Ibiza’s Club Room, the vibe was no-nonsense house and techno from start to finish. Kicking off with a Manchester doubleheader from party-starters AJ Christou and Mason Collective, who created an incredible dancefloor energy right from the start.

The UK connection continued as Fleur Shore took the reins with an impressive selection of the freshest club sounds and unforgettable dancefloor moments. To see out this perfect Saturday night in Ibiza, South American sensation Gordo kept the Club Room crowd moving until close with Latin-inflected grooves and high-energy house and techno.
